Growing up, dance was one of the first ways I learned to express myself. As I got older, my favorite activities became using a camera. Now, the eclectic and ethereal nature of my work is not limited to the camera alone. I am in love with how photography and other forms of design can capture our most innate selves. I capture and combine disciplines as an exploration of the complexity of human identity.
Functionally, I am interested in how design and form interact with each other. I create objects and vessels that have been thrown and altered. Adding design, slip, and imagery to these utilitarian objects is how I create fluidity. I’m also fascinated in the experimentation process of the cyanotype. I have a fondness for combining cyanotype and slabbed sculptures, while making decisions based off what I break, meld, or print leaving the work with a sense archaic and nostalgia.
My current work explores my own earthy and surreal self-expression. I hope you enjoy my journey to
dance through life, painting my own humanity onto the world, one beautiful piece at a time.
